There’s a saying that good managers take more than their share of the blame, and less than their share of the credit. I’m on a team of hard-working, under-celebrated managers and was looking for a way to treat them every so often. We now celebrate the end of the quarter with hand-shaken cocktails, and this combination of vodka, lime, and ginger beer was one of the first recipes.
Our friend Sarah is well-known in the group for her sangria recipe. Whenever she has a party, she puts out a pitcher of sangria mix and a bottle of ginger ale, alongside instructions for mixing them — half and half, unless you’d like it stronger or lighter. I love it so much, I now serve it at my parties, too.
“We’ve had Mojitos all over Florida, my husband came up with the BEST recipe. The coconut rum adds a wonderful flavor, and the powdered sugar kinda makes a frosty, minty, refreshing drink! And mint grows like a weed, anywhere! A back-door herb bed, a flower box in a sunny window…it just grows and grows!”
