Chinese Fried Cabbage
We’ve been trying to widen our range of green vegetables as well as looking for any excuse to use Sichuan peppercorns, so this recipe has become a favorite. It’s really fast and easy, and cabbage keeps in the refrigerator forever, making it a good recipe to have on hand.
Salt & Pepper Tofu
As we’ve been cooking more at home and rarely visiting restaurants, we’re really craving bold, unique flavors, especially Asian food. Learning how to use Sichuan peppercorns has been a revelation, and since first trying this dish we’ve started using the combination of salt, white pepper, ground Sichuan peppercorns, and sand ginger powder on everything. It’s as good on hot popcorn as it is this tofu.
Five-Spice Bourbon Punch
Mix bourbon, lime juice, club soda, and a syrup made of Sichuan peppercorns, star anise, cinnamon, cloves and fennel for a delicious and unusual cocktail.
