Yield: 10 servings Total time: 10 minutes December 20, 2018

Batch cocktails can be a nice way to serve something a little special to a group, whether it’s at a party or late in the afternoon on a winter Friday at work. This apple-rye punch was a cheery way to end the workweek before the holidays.

Recipe from Food52.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Apple Cider
  • 750 ml. Rye (Rye is great, but any whiskey will do)
  • 25 dashes Maple Bitters, or other bitters like Angostura
  • 20 ounces Hard Cider
  • 6 cups ice

Directions

Mix together apple cider, whiskey, and bitters in large punch bowl. This mixture can be held for up to a day or two before serving.

Right before serving, stir in hard cider to taste. Season punch to taste with extra bitters. Serve punch with ice.
