Leo’s Smoothies

Yield: 3 kid-sized servings Total time: 15 minutes July 25, 2020

These smoothies are great for kids who need to put on some weight or have a low appetite for other foods. (But whatever you do, please don’t tell Leo they have avocado in them.)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup or more of whole milk
  • 1/2 cup full-fat greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (or any frozen fruit)
  • 1 small ripe avocado
  • agave syrup to taste
  • 2 to 3 Tbs. strawberry jam or jelly (optional)

Directions

Add milk, greek yogurt, and frozen strawberries to the jar of a blender, use chop setting to combine. Add avocado and agave syrup.

If the flavor of avocado is too apparent, add 2 to 3 Tbs. strawberry jam or jelly.
