These smoothies are great for kids who need to put on some weight or have a low appetite for other foods. (But whatever you do, please don’t tell Leo they have avocado in them.)
- 3/4 cup or more of whole milk
- 1/2 cup full-fat greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries (or any frozen fruit)
- 1 small ripe avocado
- agave syrup to taste
- 2 to 3 Tbs. strawberry jam or jelly (optional)
Add milk, greek yogurt, and frozen strawberries to the jar of a blender, use chop setting to combine. Add avocado and agave syrup.
If the flavor of avocado is too apparent, add 2 to 3 Tbs. strawberry jam or jelly.
