We’re always looking for weeknight chicken recipes and really love the combination of five spice powder and orange with these easy chicken thighs.

- 3 clementines or other oranges, sliced thin
- 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 3 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 tsp. Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- Salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 350º.
Coat an oven-proof skillet with the olive oil. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and five-spice powder. Brown in skillet over medium-high heat, about 10 minutes.
Add all orange slices to the skillet and transfer to the oven. Cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Transfer chicken and oranges to a plate.
Add garlic, wine, and butter to the pan and whisk gently. Cook 2 minutes and add the chicken and oranges back to pan.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with rice or noodles.
