Pressure Cooker Brown Rice

Cooking rice in the pressure cooker has consistently good results and lets you focus on preparing other dishes. If you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can easily cook brown rice on the stove.

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbs. ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt


Rinse and drain the rice. Add rice, water, ghee or oil, and salt in the pot of an electric pressure cooker.

Cook at high pressure for 22 minutes; allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
